Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran
Sunday services are typically about one hour long. Our service format consists of prayer and gathering, exchange of peace, reading the Word through scripture, a lesson from Pastor, prayers of the church, offering, a communion meal, and a sending. Throughout the service, we are invited to sing and use music as a tool to connect with God’s Word. Before the sending, we make announcements informing folks of upcoming events and activities. Following service, we have coffee and refreshments and gather together in fellowship.
Communion is offered each week at both Sunday worship services. We take communion by “intinction,” which means that Pastor places a communion wafer in the palm of your hand, and you can dip the wafer into either the wine or grape juice. All who wish to participate are welcome to come forward and receive God’s gift of gracious love.
Child care is provided at the late service.
We also offer Wednesday midweek services during the seasons of Lent and Advent, these services are typical about one half hour. Check out the Midweek Gatherings page for studies and social time outside Sunday services
