Pastor Michelle Manicke
Pastor Michelle Manicke grew up in the Portland area, attending Beaverton High School and Lewis and Clark College.
After pursuing graduate studies in German language and literature at Portland State University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she attended Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California.
Ordained in 1998, she served as an associate pastor at St. James Lutheran Church in downtown Portland for five years.
In 2003 she was called to interim ministry by the Oregon Synod and has helped shepherd three congregations through the process of calling a new pastor: King of Kings Lutheran Church, Milwaukie; St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Beaverton; and Light of Life, Aloha.
Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church represents her fourth interim assignment.
